The Oaks Amusement Park is the northwest’s only historic “trolley park” that’s still in operation and is one of the oldest in the country. From March 23 through September 29, enjoy an afternoon of playful putting at Chipper’s Woods Miniature Golf.
Revive your inner kid on the bumper cars, jump boats, roller coaster, Ferris Wheel and a myriad of other amusement rides featured at Oaks Park, or dust off your old pinball skills or win a plush toy from one of the many fair and arcade games throughout the park.
Swim, Picnic, Relax and Play at One of Sellwood’s Outdoor Parks
Take in the sights and sounds of local flora and fauna when you walk or bike the looped, three-mile trail around Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge.
Hike the trails of Sellwood Park or enjoy a summertime swim, canoe and picnic at Sellwood Riverfront Park. The water is clean and suitable for swimming, thanks to decades of clean up efforts and regular testing. The park also offers an off-leash area for your best 4-legged friend to enjoy.
Kids love Westmoreland Nature Park‘s “natural-playground” which features giant logs and rocks with rappelling ropes to climb on and a small water channel that kids can dip their hands into.
Antique and Boutique Shopping in Sellwood
Antique shoppers will appreciate the variety of places in the Sellwood neighborhood to find something unique. Located along SE 13th Avenue, between SE Umatilla Street and SE Bidwell is a condensed strip of antique shops, boutiques, local vendors, restaurants and cafes including Tilde, Dig Vinyl and the Sellwood Antique Collective.
