Shop for Something Vintage, Crafty, Hip or Effervescent
Living up to the Hawthorne district’s eclectic vibe is the Richmond community’s selection of shops, tattoo parlors and galleries.
Instead of niching down, you’ll find an interesting variety of vintage stores and record shops, tattoo parlors, galleries, bookstores, boutiques, wine vendors and even a parfumerie! Wind down at Sewallcrest Park
Located in the northwest corner of the Richmond neighborhood, at Sewallcrest Park you’ll find over five acres of public greenspace including multi-use sports fields, a dog off-leash area, a children’s playground and accessible play area, picnic tables and paved walking paths for easy strolling.
Hike a Dormant Volcano at Mt. Tabor Park
Mt. Tabor Park is located in the neighboring Mt.Tabor area and is considered one of the very best parks in Oregon. Named after Mount Tabor in Israel, this lush and sprawling 190.82-acre park is built on a dormant volcano with several trails including three official trails that loop around the volcano. The park is accessible by car, bicycle or foot and features an amphitheater, dog off-leash area, restrooms, multi-use sports fields, tennis courts, a children’s playground and plenty of areas to picnic, relax and play. Take a brisk hike up one of the trails to the summit for gorgeous views of surrounding Portland.
Make a Whole Day of The Division Clinton Street Fair & Parade
Richmond neighborhood’s annual Division Clinton Street Fair & Parade is held every July over the course of a single day. This year the street fair and parade takes place on Saturday, July 27th and includes performers, local food, live music, street vendors and family-friendly activities for all ages and abilities to partake in and enjoy.
